Silk Bedding – Double Duvet and Pillowcases in 100% Mulberry Silk
Create a calm and luxurious sleeping environment with our silk bedding for double duvets, made from 100% Mulberry silk in Grade 6A and 19 momme quality.
The smooth, soft, and temperature-regulating silk wraps the body with a pleasant lightness and gives the bedroom an elegant and timeless look. The exclusive quality of the silk can be felt from the very first night, making the bedding a special kind of everyday luxury.
Mulberry silk creates less friction against skin and hair than many traditional textiles. It can help reduce frizz and tangled hair as well as marks on the skin after a night’s sleep.
Silk absorbs less moisture than, for example, cotton, helping to maintain the skin’s and hair’s natural moisture balance throughout the night. The material is also naturally temperature-regulating and contributes to a comfortable sleeping environment all year round.

Silk properties
Mulberry silk has a positive effect on both your skin and your hair. The smooth silk fabric is less likely to absorb moisture from the skin, keeping it hydrated throughout the night. The same applies to the hair, where the silk helps maintain its natural moisture balance. By sleeping on silk, you also avoid frizzy hair, which can potentially lead to split ends.
Silk is temperature regulating
Silk also has a temperature-regulating property, which guarantees that you will have a comfortable temperature in the hot summer heat. If you struggle with sleep difficulties due to warm nights or itching and dry skin, silk is therefore ideal for you. Additionally, silk is known to be anti-allergenic, making it a perfect choice if you have allergies or suffer from asthma.
OEKO-TEX certified
This product is made of mulberry silk and certified with OEKO-TEX, which guarantees that the fabric has been tested for harmful substances and is therefore safe for your health.
How to wash silk?
- Preparation: Start by turning your silk bedding inside out and closing the zipper. Additionally, a laundry bag is recommended.
- Separation: Keep your silk bedding separate from other textiles, especially those with sharp zippers or hard materials that can scratch the silk.
- Temperature: Use cold water to wash silk bedding. Warm water can damage the fibers and cause shrinking or color loss.
- Mild detergent: Use a mild detergent designed for delicate fabrics. Avoid bleach or strong chemicals, as they can damage the silk.
- Hand wash or gentle cycle: You can either hand wash the silk bedding or use a gentle cycle in your washing machine. If using a washing machine, select a delicate program with low spin to avoid stretching or damaging the fabric.
- Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residues. You can repeat rinsing several times to ensure all soap is gone.
- Drying: Avoid wringing or stretching the silk bedding while drying. Instead, gently squeeze out excess water and then let it air dry on a flat surface or hang it on a hanger. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause discoloration.
- Ironing: If necessary, you can iron your silk bedding on low heat, preferably on the inside to avoid direct contact with the heat.
With these steps, you can easily keep your silk bedding clean and in good condition!

In recent years, people have become aware of the many other benefits that silk provides. Temperature-regulating, antibacterial, and allergy-friendly effects – to name just a few. At Cillouettes, we want everyone to have the opportunity to experience these benefits.
