Detergent for Silk

Tenestar is a specially developed detergent for caring for genuine silk and silk blends. It helps preserve the silk’s soft, supple texture and beautiful shine, so your silk products remain elegant wash after wash.

The detergent is made without enzymes and is especially suitable for gentle hand washing and machine washing of Mulberry silk.

Dosage

Hand wash: Use 1 capful for 7-70 liters of water.

Machine wash: Add 2 capfuls during the main wash cycle.

With the recommended dosage, the contents are sufficient for about 24 hand washes or 12 machine washes.

Hand Washing Silk

1. Submerge the silk in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes.
2. Wash gently without rubbing or wringing the fabric.
3. Rinse the silk thoroughly.
4. Gently press out excess water.
5. Let the silk air dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
6. If necessary, iron on low heat while the silk is still slightly damp.

Stain Treatment

New silk products should be washed separately until the colors no longer release excess dye.

For stains, a small amount of undiluted Tenestar can be applied directly to the area. Let the detergent work for about 10 minutes, then wash the product as usual. Avoid rubbing the silk.

Note: Silk should not be tumble dried.
